DRAGØR
Dragør is a town on Amager, approx. 12 kilometers from the center of Copenhagen and not a part of the Capital Area. It is part of Dragør Municipality and is located in the Capital Region. Dragør has grown together with Store Magleby, and together the urban settlement has 12,309 inhabitants (2020) [1].
In 2015, the municipality’s population is over 14,000. The name Dragør comes from the word to draw (to pull) and the suffix -ør means gravel or sandy shoreline.
