Hvide Sande Skatepark
Hvide Sande Skatepark is a relatively new little skate park in the middle of Hvide Sande. It is quite small, so it can get a little crowded with kids, but everybody is cool. The weather is often cold, wet and windy, but when the sun is out, this is the place to be.
Not many good skateboarders come around these parts, so if you rip, the kids will cheer you on. The vibe is really chilled, and since Hvide Sande is a well-known surfing destination, you may sometimes find blond surfers cruising longboards in sandals to loud reggae tunes.
The skatepark is located right next to a remarkable church, owned by the local religious Inner Mission. The primary goal within Inner Mission is to spread The Bible’s message of God’s salvation to all people. It is said that the construction of the skatepark was a deliberate effort to recruit children, so be aware of sweet religious locals.
You can camp, but you can also live in luxury right next to but the ocean, the local surf shop and the Fjord. You can rent a nice house here.
Transportation to and from Hvide Sande takes place by bus. For more information on busses.
The place is an open public area with 24/7 access.
